CHECKLIST

For your convenience, we have compiled a "rule of thumb" checklist.

Argentina

  • Up-to-date Passport: We highly recommend you make several photocopies of your passport in case of loss.  Keep one separate from your actual passport and keep another at home.

  • Proper Argentinian permit: click for printable permit

  • U.S. Customs Form 4457: This form must be filled out and signed by a Customs Officer.  You will declare all items of value so you won't have to pay duty upon your return.  Again, make several copies in case of loss.

  • Electricity:  Argentina has 220 volt electricity. Unless your computer or appliance is dual voltage or designed for 220 volts, you will need a converter or transformer that converts from 220V to 110V.  If your computer or appliance is already set up for 110V, you will only need a plug adaptor.

Grins like this don't just happen, they take planning.

We've got a dream vacation all planned out for you!

All Trips

  • Check the current status of baggage allowed, and the weight limitations.  Carry on bags should include any medications and delicate items.  Consider taking a travel pillow for the airplane.

  • Skin protection: Bring your favorite sun screen and insect repellent.

  • Camera: Video and still cameras "should" be taken.  You will want to capture the sights and sounds of your experiences. Bring more batteries and film than you think you'll need!

  • Toiletries: Bring shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush, toothpaste, shaver, etc.

  • Over the counter medications: You may want to bring some "just in case" medicine such as Aspirin, Sudafed, Pepto Bismol, etc.

  • Bringing a back-up gun is always a good idea, along with spare parts, tools, and a cleaning kit (NO flammable solvents).  Have a gunsmith give the guns a once over and replace any parts that are close to being in need of replacement. Rental guns are usually available.  If interested, ask about availability and pricing for your hunt.

  • We recommend bringing a small variety of  shotgun chokes: for close distances (cylinder), for intermediate distances (improved cylinder), and for far distances (light modified).

  • FAA requirements: Locked, hard case for your gun(s).

  • Gun Sleeve: You'll want to bring a gun sleeve to protect your gun when traveling to and from the hunting grounds.

  • Small backpack or bag for camera, gun items for the field.

  • Shooting vest or pouch to hold shells.  A padded vest will give your shoulder some protection from recoil if you will be doing high volume shooting.

  •  Items for high volume shooting: If your gun doesn't have a nice recoil pad, consider having one put on by a gunsmith so the length of pull won't change. Shooting gloves will protect hands from barrel heatup and keep you from getting raw fingers.

  • Shooting glasses and hearing protection should always be worn.  Bring extras.

  • Sun and rain weather protection: Brimmed hats, rain suit, boots, ankle high shoes, extra pair of sneakers.

  • Clothing is casual with hunters usually wearing their hunting clothes to meals.  Bright colors in the field should be avoided.

  • Ask about laundry service availability with your hunting package.

  • A windbreaker for chilly mornings or evenings

  • Long sleeved shirts and long pants can protect you from sun, thorns as well as cooler air.
